Art Art Around the World with Katie Snyder - ArtShop Instructor Highligh
“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.” This quote by Pablo Picasso is one of Katie Snyder's favorite art quotes. She is teaching the class "Art Around the World" at ArtShop this week. Katie is the art teacher at Hayden Meadows Elementary and she is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Integrated Teaching Through the Arts. When asked how she came up with the idea for this class, Katie replied, "I enjoy inviting others to learn about the diversity of this vast world through various art projects. We can learn so much about other people by looking at and creating the types of art they hold near and dear." Katie's inspiration to teach children comes from her own two small children at home. "They inspire me to see art through the eyes of a child and try to capture the joy that art brings to young people."
ArtShop is this week, July 28-August 1, 2014, for kids grades 2 to 8. What makes ArtShop unique?
