As an acclaimed visual artist with credits in over 150 major films, television shows, and commercials (including The Avengers, Iron Man 3, and The Matrix 4), Stephen Bruce will personally lead this hands-on workshop. Participants will engage in a fascinating project utilizing readily available household materials to explore the scientific principles of oxidation on copper and copper alloys. They will observe firsthand how common food acids transform metal surfaces, creating vibrant and original artwork. This process encourages creative experimentation, observation recording, and individual artistic expression.

The workshop requires a two-day commitment: Friday, August 1st, and Sunday, August 3rd, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on each day. Attendance at both sessions is mandatory. The workshop is entirely free, thanks to the generous support of Stephen Bruce, The SkidMore Project, and Art On The Green.

Open to kids age 8 and up as well as adults. Kids aged 8-11 will need an adult present please.
