Art on the Green Goes Virtual For 2020

For the first time in 52 years, Art on the Green will become a Virtual Festival for 2020, instead of our traditional gathering of family and friends on the grounds of North Idaho College.   Citizens’ Council for the Arts, organizer of Art on the Green, recognizes the challenges and risks in holding a live festival during the current pandemic affecting our country.  Our decision was very difficult, but has been made so we can protect our community, our many volunteers and to be in compliance with both CDC and State of Idaho guidelines.  We have changed our approach for this year’s festival and made it our goal to “Keep Art In Your Heart” by providing ways for our community to be involved with supporting art and artists through donations, purchasing of art directly from local and regional artists,  enjoying one of our art project videos with their children or purchasing some of our Festival Merchandise.  All proceeds will be used to support our community project of supplying our local schools with much needed art supplies for classrooms from Preschools to High Schools.

Our “Virtual Marketplace” will showcase the booth artists who were accepted by our panel of judges to show their handcrafted works for the 2020 Festival.  You can view images of their work and we will provide links to their websites, or their emails, so patrons can contact the artists directly for desired purchases.

Festival T-shirts, posters, bags and pins displaying our winning design for 2020 will also be available for purchase on our website.

We will miss sharing time with all of our patrons and volunteers, listening to great entertainment, enjoying the great food and drink; but mostly we will miss this wonderful community event that brings us all together each summer in beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
