Call for Art - Clothesline Sale @ Art on the Green 2018

Artists, you are invited to sell your art at the Clothesline Sale at Art on the Green, where we display and sell artwork that is matted, unframed, and priced between $10 and $75. It’s free!  No entry fee: a 20% commission is taken on works sold. (Limit: 50 pieces per artist. For artists 16 and older.) Art on the Green attracts thousands of visitors each year and provides great exposure for local artists. To those of you looking to participate for the first time this summer, we look forward to receiving your work. To those of you who participated in years past, thank you and we hope you participate again this year!

Artists will drop art off between 9:00a and 11:00a Friday, August 3, or Saturday, August 4 (unsold art to be picked up Sunday, August 5, 5:00p). The Clothesline Sale is run by Art on the Green volunteers and we encourage all participating artists to work a shift at the sale – it’s fun! Information and forms for participating here, or call Vicky Houle at (208)699-5066. If you need affordable matting for your pieces, contact Kim at Frame-It (208)762-5940 - she is having a Clothesline Special.

Shifts are 2-3 hours long, depending on the station. We have shifts for all ages. If you would like to sign up for a shift or find out more about our volunteer opportunities, please contact Jolie at volunteer@artonthegreen.org. If you would like to find out more about how Art on the Green works, please join us for a NEW VOLUNTEER Meeting, Thursday, June 28, 6:00pm, at the Coeur d'Alene Public Library in the Community Room. Art on the Green volunteer opportunities include:

- Food and beverage booths – food and drink booths are run by volunteers to support the festival. Serve ice cream, prepare tasty food, or sell cold drinks with a warm smile!

- Children’s Art Garden – the festival provides free hands-on art activities as well as special activities for a small fee for children of all ages.

- Art areas, including the Clothesline Art Sale.

The purpose of the festival is to support the arts & artists, and to bring a wonderful art & music festival to our community each year. Admittance into the festival and all of the entertainment is free of charge, thanks to our volunteers! Art on the Green is a highlight of summer in Coeur d’Alene, and volunteering for the festival enriches the community where we live.
