Family Friendly @ Art on the Green

We are proud that Art on the Green is such a family friendly event! Kids can enjoy our Children's Art Garden where most art activities are provided free-of-charge (this year we have fairy wings, color burst capes and garden flowers - see the Art Garden for schedule). The Art Garden also features story times, music corner and juggling lessons. Free entertainment is provided on two stages all weekend, including music, theatre, entertainers, and youth performances. Art on the Green is stroller-friendly, or you can ride your bikes to the festival and park them in our free bike corral (bring your own bike lock). Also look for face painting, Pinot's Palette painting classes (where kids go home with a completed painting), and hand-made stuffed animals, all at family-friendly prices. Bring the whole family to Art on the Green at North Idaho College this weekend, August 3,4,5, 2018!

We still need volunteers @ Art on the Green!

It's not too late - we still need volunteers! Did you know? Art on the Green is run by more than 500 volunteers each summer. Shifts are 2-3 hours long, depending on the station. We have shifts for all ages and abilities - we will train you on the spot. It's fun to volunteer with family members or friends. Be part of Art on the Green's special 50th anniversary!

You can sign up for shifts online here.

Volunteers get a commemorative volunteer pin and receive free water and ice cream after working a shift.

Questions? Email volunteer coordinator Jolie at volunteer@artonthegreen.org.

Thank you - volunteers are the heart of Art on the Green! 50th Anniversary, August 3,4,5,2018 at North Idaho College.

Paintings and Mixed Media Art @ Art on the Green

Art on the Green is just days away! What is your favorite category of artwork? For many, a festival wouldn't be an ART festival without painters and paintings represented. We will have dozens of painters' booths at the festival this year, as well as many mixed media artists. Artist Julene Ewart from Moscow, Idaho loves to use old dictionaries or song books to create depth on wood canvases. She uses acrylics and ink in vibrant colors which reflect joy, honesty and a whimsical feel in her art. Come and see her booth and a wonderfully wide array of different styles of paintings at Art on the Green at North Idaho College, August 3,4,5, 2018!
